ARTS:LIVE Partner with Arts Centre Melbourne and the Australian Music Vault for Sound Bites!

Kram from Spiderbait and Olympia share their song writing process

Come behind the scenes with ARIA award winning music artists as they share their song writing secrets in our latest ARTS:LIVE resource, Sound Bites

Sound Bites is a collection of videos and resources for teachers and students made in partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne, the Australian Music Vault, and The Song Room.

Each resource is presented by a professional musician, who will give students practical tips and tricks around song writing and song construction. The artists reveal their process for making music in an accessible way that will ignite your student’s passion in the music-making process.

Your students will love using these tips to explore, shape and share their own musical ideas. They may be inspired to pick up a pen, paper or visual diary in a song writing session. Or, they may find a new way into improvisation and composition with Kram from Spiderbait as he manipulates musical elements to explore personal expression.

They will learn about the creative process and about techniques to support and develop their own music making skills.

Check it out now on ARTS:LIVE. Click here to register or sign in.

This set of educational resources is sure to spark the song writer in every student.
