Cheeky Dogs for Early Years

Dance Drama Music Visual Arts Age 0-5

Immerse children in literature and help foster a love of learning through this creative animation that is designed to engage children cognitively and emotionally.

Children will have the opportunity to see, feel and play as the award-winning book, ‘Too Many Cheeky Dogs’ is brought to life in this resource. Set in the remote Northern Territory town of Tennant Creek, children are introduced to new places and characters and activities that will encourage personal sharing.

The animated video includes an Auslan interpreter and activity guides for ‘before, during and after’ reading or viewing.

The story has been written to support language development in children and can be a starting point to develop children’s understanding of Indigenous Australia.
