The Sami Bedell Center for the Performing Arts opened in 2008 as a 1,000 seat multi-use facility. The SAMI Center serves Spirit Lake School District programs while providing community partnerships and professional entertainment opportunities.

We are Willow River Arts. We are performance arts educators. We bring the wonder of performance and visual arts to you. Willow River Arts works with Head Start Programs, Elementary School, Middle School, High School, Early Childhood Education, At Risk Youth, Gifted and Talented programs, Migrant Populations, Afterschool programs, PTA's, Colleges, Corporate Team Building, Elder Care Facilities and Private Functions. Make a play - Make a movie - Design a set and build it - Act on camera - Stage a fight - Create a People Project We demystify Shakespeare and the world of filmmaking. We help individuals gain self-esteem through self expression and learn to work sensitively with others. We encourage creativity, self-reliance and character building. We are hands-on and believe in learning by doing. Storytainer Marta Barnard's One Woman Productions promote literacy and multiculturalism. Filmmaker Chad Branham teaches the nuts and bolts of the theatre and film industry. If your school/class/organization/business wants to learn to think creatively Willow River Arts is for you.
