The Okoboji Summer Theatre is located on Highway 71 between Okoboji and Spirit Lake. It is owned and operated by Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri for the purpose of providing commercial summer stock experience for Theatre students. Stephens students and staff produce 9 entertaining and well-attended plays and musicals every summer. The plays run for seven performances in six days, Tuesday through Sunday, with Mondays as a changeover day for the next production. Stephens took over the operations of the Okoboji Summer Theatre from Grinnell College in 1958. The Theatre is actually an old airplane hangar that was built by the WPA for the City of Spirit Lake. There is also a Children's Theatre called the Boji Bantam. -

The Okoboji Summer Theatre Association is a group of volunteers whose purpose is to promote and support the students and staff of the Okoboji Summer Theatre. Over the past 50+ years, the Association has supported the Theatre by sponsoring one production each season, providing scholarships for students, encouraging attendance, selling discount voucher booklets, assisting with unloading equipment, helping out in the costume and set shop when needed, working on grounds and upkeep, and ushering for the musical. Membership is open to anyone. Annual membership dues are $20.00 per person. For further information, contact ostassociation@gmail.com. Discount Voucher Admission booklets ($130) for the 2013 OST Season can be purchased by emailing: ostavoucherbooklet@gmail.com. Each booklet contains three vouchers for musicals and six vouchers for non-musicals. The Box Office only accepts the musical vouchers for musical productions. It's an excellent way to save so don't miss out on this incredible deal. Discount booklets are not sold through the OST Box Office. Box Office opens June 3. -
